Double-R-Racing was formed in 2002 by former Pompey Player RICHARD REYNOLDS.
Richard joined Pompey in 1971 from Plymouth Argyle. In 1972 he was Pompey's leading goalscorer and was voted the POMPEY PLAYER OF THE YEAR.
Richard finished his career in Holland when he suffered a bad knee injury while playing against Ajax of Amsterdam.
For the last 22 years Richard has been syndicating racehorses, many with a POMPEY theme Richard's first syndicated racehorse was PLAY UP POMPEY who went on to WIN four races. FRATT'N PARK followed and WON at Newbury for the syndicate before a tragic accident ended her career.
BLUE ARMY continued the success before STAR OF POMPEY came on the scene. She overcame three serious injuries but still managed to WIN for the syndicate before being retired to stud in FRANCE.
From Star Of Pompey, Double-R-Racing bred a grey filly named DALSTAR who WON SEVEN good races on grade 1 tracks in France. Chantilly and Deauville.
We now have C'MON POMPEY to carry on our Pompey theme, she is a now a beautiful 4 year old filly bred from the FRENCH DERBY WINNER STUDY OF MAN from an ITALIAN mare who was a multi winner in Europe to follow the female line in her pedigree of the habit of Breeding WINNERS.
C'MON POMPEY is in training with John Jenkins who has a splendid winning record both on the flat and in National Hunt racing.
C'MON POMPEY raced as a 3 year old but due to being weak and very backward she only ran 7 times.
Now she has strengthend up and become much more mature we are hoping to have some good race days out in 2025. She will be stepped up in distance to run at a mile plus and will have her first race of the season soon. She will give any shareholder a thrilling summer, especially
